The Actors

Harvey Weed

Harvey is an actor based in Manchester. He recently made his professional theatre debut in Beauty and the Beast, touring the North with West End In Schools. With a strong interest in new writing, he was especially excited to join the Choir Boy Productions family and collaborate on a fresh, dynamic piece of theatre. Previous stage work includes Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play (Matt/Homer), Twelfth Night (Fabian/Curio), and multi-rolling in The Laramie Project, which was a highlight of his training. Performing at the Edinburgh Fringe for the first time is an exciting step, and he can’t cannot wait to share this piece with new audiences.

Ned Blackburn

Ned is currently in his final year studying Drama at Manchester University and currently at the helm of the UoM Drama Society learning on the job about how to lead a theatre company. Ned’s first dose of professional theatre was training on the Old Vic Theatre Makers course in 2021. He is a rounded theatre maker with a passion for acting, writing and producing. This year is Ned’s third trip to the fringe, having previously produced The Manchester Revue’s Lonely Hearts Sketch Club and Look What We’ve Done. Boarding School Homo is his playwriting debut, it’s based on elements of his life and combines his love of comedy and drama, he could not be more excited to present it to more audiences this year.
